The InnerSelf is House 1 within the 12 Houses of Lumora.

If Lumora Astrology is a detailed map of your life, then the InnerSelf is “You”—the central character of your life.

It is the most critical House, used to interpret your core self—that which pertains to the innate, fundamental, and predetermined nature of an individual, defined at the moment of your birth.

The Innate Blueprint

Core Personality: This is your "operating system." Are you hot-tempered (e.g., possessing Fenrir), gentle (Heriophant), ambitious (The Emperor), or discreet (Selene)? This is your unique, original nature, not a personality cultivated by society.

Potential and Limitations: It reveals your innate talents as well as the inherent flaws you carry with you.

Appearance & Aura: The InnerSelf also describes your physical build, appearance, and the aura or energy you project.

The Center of the Map

The InnerSelf is the starting point, the subject. The remaining 11 Houses (Parents, Wealth, Career, etc.) are the “environments” with which the InnerSelf interacts.

The unwritten rule of Lumora is: The InnerSelf must first be “strong.” It is like a house that must have a solid foundation before it can be built high, withstand natural disasters, winds, and storms.

If your InnerSelf is strong, you can still manage and navigate even if other Houses are unfavorable.

Conversely, if your InnerSelf is weak, you will be unable to utilize the positive aspects of other Houses, even if they are well-aspected.

The InnerSelf is the nucleus of Lumora Astrology. It is your original nature, your destiny, and your innate potential. Understanding the InnerSelf is the first and most crucial step to understanding why you are who you are, and why you tend to react or act in certain ways throughout your life.
