House OuterSelf
- Core Meaning: The External Environment, Society, Movement, and Relocation.
- Deeper Meaning (The Mirror of the Self): This House is the critical counterpart to the InnerSelf House, and its importance cannot be overstated. It represents every aspect of your life outside of your private, internal world. If InnerSelf is who you truly are when you are alone, OuterSelf is the mask you wear in public, the “persona” you project, and, crucially, how society perceives and interacts with you in return. It is the world of strangers, acquaintances, and the public at large.
- The Social Façade (Persona): This House governs your social identity. It is the face you show at work, at parties, and to the world. It dictates your social grace, your reputation, and the “vibe” you give off. It’s not just how you act in public, but also the feedback you receive: Does society welcome you? Do people trust you? This House is the mirror that reflects your social self.
- The InnerSelf-OuterSelf Axis: This axis is a fundamental polarity.
- A person with a strong InnerSelf but a weak OuterSelf is a classic introvert. They thrive in their private, controlled environment (at home) but find the external world chaotic, draining, or dangerous. Their best strategy is often to build a sanctuary.
- Conversely, a person with a weak InnerSelf but a strong OuterSelf must venture out to succeed. They are classic extroverts who feel stifled at home. Their destiny, success, and opportunities are only found by engaging with the world, traveling, networking, and being “out there.” They must go out to find themselves.
